Dear Colleagues and Guests,
It is our pleasure and honor to invite you to the 4th International Symposium of Clinical and Applied Anatomy (ISCAA) and 14th National Turkish Anatomy Congress. This meeting will be held in Ankara between 28 June - 1 July 2012 in cooperation with Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Anatomy and Turkish Society of Anatomy and Clinical Anatomy. As Academic staff of Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Anatomy which pioneered studies in Clinical Anatomy in Turkey and gained special experience in Applied Anatomy, it is our honor to host this meeting. At this meeting, we will also celebrate the jubilee of Professor Alaittin Elhan, an outstanding personage of science, our veteran teacher and scientist who had spent great labor in development of Anatomical science in Turkey. Anatomy is not only a part of medical education at undergraduate level but also has an important place at post-graduate and post-specialization training. In this respect, we bring together scientists from various disciplines and share our experiences to find solutions of different clinical problems during courses and training programs. This meeting will bring together world renowned anatomists and clinicians from Europe and many countries of the world. The meeting venue, “Morphology Building,” is conveniently located in the city center and center of our Faculty. The excellent academic center of Ankara University will provide participants with unique opportunities for collaboration, exchange of ideas in anatomy, education and innovation, and an update of the latest developments in all the topics of clinical and surgical anatomy. It is our pleasure to host this joint meeting on campus and to provide a meeting of high scientific quality with oral presentations, posters and discussions. We think that this meeting will be a great opportunity to express our sense of loyalty to our teachers and particularly to bring clinicians and anatomists together to do assessments of Clinical and Applied Anatomy, worthy of the name of the Symposium.
